Prior to that, the talented actor had risen to full-on celebrity status when he starred in the 2006 award-winning TV series H2O: Just Add Water.

Burgess Abernethy is 37 years old
Burgess Abernethy was born on February 21, 1987, under the star sign of Pisces, in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. He is currently 37 years old. His birth status grants him the rights and privileges of an Australian citizen. He also belongs to the Caucasian ethnic group. Burgess’ parents raised him in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
His father, Shane Denman, was an architect but besides his name and occupation, there isn’t much information available regarding the man. On the other hand, the media and the general public got to know so much about Burgess’ mother when he chronicled her battle against cancer on his Instagram page.
It was a war that ultimately ended with her death in July 2020. Her name was Rosslyn Mary Abernethy. Rosslyn was instrumental in Burgess’ journey to becoming the success he is today. She was a successful New Zealand/Australian actress and movie producer who championed the cause of women in movies, to a successful degree, in her heydays.
Burgess does not have any siblings and spent most of his early life literally following his mother around.
Academic qualifications
It is unclear how that worked out for his pre-school and middle school education but other aspects of his education from high school onwards involved having to be enrolled in the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, an educational institution that helped to do two things for the young Burgess.
First of all, he got quality high school education, and secondly, the institution helped to fine-tune the artistic abilities and passion that Burgess had showcased from a very young age. After grabbing a quite unique learning experience at the high school, Burgess proceeded to get a college education at the University of Southern Queensland in an unidentified discipline.
Burgess Abernethy started his acting career as a teenager
Burgess Abernethy’s acting career was heavily inspired by his mother. He grew up watching his mother on theatre stages and on TV sets and it wasn’t much of a surprise to anyone when he decided that it was the best career path for him to follow. There were a series of auditions before he landed his first official role in 2000. Burgess’ debut came as Young Dar in an episode of the action-adventure fantasy series BeastMaster.
His first appearance wasn’t enough to secure any long-term future for the young Burgess as he was only a 13-year-old teenager. However, the fact remained that he had gotten a taste of the limelight and enjoyed the feeling that being in it brought. Over the next few years, Burgess learned, worked, and improved his acting abilities.
By the time 2007 came around, a then 20-year-old Burgess was fairly ready to take on Hollywood and grabbed another TV role, his first since his debut, 7 years prior. Playing the role of Sean Evans in the 2007 romantic series Home and Away, created a pathway for Burgess to forge on with his career.
In 2008, he made a guest appearance as Tom Bishop in an episode of the TV series titled All Saints. It was cruise control for the talented actor from that point onwards. He wrote, produced, and starred in a good number of movies over the years that followed. He contributed to the success of TV series and movies such as Quietus (2012), Mirrors (2013), Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door (2015), Fred’s Bread (2015), In the Middle (2017), and Australia Day (2017) amongst several others.
He got his breakthrough on H20: Just Add Water
Burgess Abernethy’s career has arguably been defined by 2 on-screen appearances. His first real career breakthrough came when he was cast in the role of Zane Bennett in the award-winning TV series titled H20: Just Add Water. The show ran from 2006 to 2010 and Burgess was a mainstay in the cast of the series. The show became his calling card and was a prominent reason for his rise to stardom.
Another career-defining moment arrived in the form of an opportunity to play the role of British noble, Prince William, in the 2018 lifetime biopic titled Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance.

While his exact net worth at the moment is currently unknown, reliable sources close to Burgess placed his net worth at an estimated $3 million. Burgess Abernethy is currently unmarried
The actor rarely dwells on conversations that place a primary focus on his personal or romantic lifestyle. The reason is that he made a decision to keep those aspects of his life private and as a result, it has made it a challenge for the media and the public to have any concrete predictions regarding his personal life.
However, Burgess has been mentioned alongside a number of female companions, including Jordan Loukas, a fashion model, who he is said to have dated in 2009 before ending things with her the same year. In 2018, Burgess was rumored to be dating Quietus co-star, Cariba Heine, an Australian actress and dancer with South African roots. The pair however refused to comment on the nature of their relationship in spite of the fact that the rumors started as a result of both of them spending so much time together with each other.
That phase ended almost as soon as it began and Burgess’ romantic life has remained in speculation with no news as regards if he is married or not, certainly not from the actor anyway.
