She was born in Washington D.C, United States of America, where she was raised by her parents. The celebrity child is not the only child of his parents as she has a sibling, an older sister named Lynda Bird whom she grew up alongside.

Talking about her religion, her father was a member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) while her mother, according to information gathered from various sources, was an Episcopalian. Luci and her older sister, Lynda Bird, were raised as Episcopalians.

For her educational background, Luci got to attend Georgetown University School of Nursing and Health Studies but later had to drop out of school in 1966 as it was against the school’s rule for married students to enroll in the school and Luci had gotten married.

Being someone who valued education, Luci later went back to school and in 1997, at the age of 49, she bagged a Bachelor’s degree in communications from St. Edward’s University. At the age of 70, Georgetown University awarded Luci an Honorary Doctorate.

In 1993, Luci became the Chairman of the Board and manager of LBJ Asset Management Partners which happens to be a family business and also moved on in her business as she became the chairman of the Board of BusinesSuites, a national operator of executive suites, which she co-founded with her husband.

Luci is also on the governing body of the LBJ Establishment and has served on numerous civic boards sheets, raising support for The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the American Heart Association, working as a legal administrator of Boston College, and as an individual from the warning leading body of the Middle for Battered Ladies.

Luci Baines was first married to Patrick John (1966 – 1979)

Luci Baines besides being a businesswoman also has a love life.  The celebrity was once married to Air National Guardsman Patrick John “Pat” Nugent on August 6, 1966. The wedding ceremony was on a live broadcast on television and took place in front of 700 guests at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. The wedding was also featured on August 19, 1966, cover of Life magazine.

Unfortunately, the marriage lasted for only 13 years as the couple later divorced. The marriage was annulled by the Catholic Church in August 1979.

Before it ended, their union was blessed with four children – Patrick Lyndon the oldest was born in 1967, now a lawyer and a pilot in San Antonio. They had a second child named Nicole Marie born in 1970, their third child Rebekah Johnson was born in 1974 and the fourth Claudia Taylor Nugent was born in 1976.

Her second marriage was to Ian J Turpin (1984- Till date)

Moving on from her divorce, on March 3, 1984, Luci got remarried this time to a Scottish- born Canadian financier named Ian J. Turpin (born in 1944), he is president of LBJ Asset Management Partners at LBJ Ranch. She did not have any child with Ian but inherited a stepson which he had from his past relationship with a lady.

Luci Baines was diagnosed with Guillain – Barre Syndrome

In April 2010, the American businesswoman was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder called Guillain – Barre syndrome which is commonly known as Landry’s paralysis. The ailment is a condition that causes the immune system to attack the nervous system and this can be triggered by an acute bacterial or viral infection of the respiratory or digestive system.

Luci went ahead to get treatments at Mayo Clinic and was admitted to their intensive care unit. After the clinic had carried out a series of tests, she was then transferred to St Mary’s Hospital. With intensive immunoglobulin treatment, Luci fully recovered and began going about her normal life.

Luci Baines‘s father was the 36th President of the United States of America

Luci Baines’s father Lyndon B. Johnson was famous for being the former and 36th president of the United States of America from Stonewall. The late president was born on August 27, 1908,in Stonewall as Lyndon Baines Johnson. He was commonly referred to as LBJ which his daughters were also called as they had the same initials.

Luci Baines’s father Lyndon Johnson once held diverse political offices such as House of Representatives member, Senator and also as the 37th Vice President of the United States. He assumed office as the 36th President of the United States following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The ex-president died on January 22, 1973, at the age of 64. He died of acute myocardial infarction in Stonewall and was later buried in the Johnson Family Cemetery.
